Description
Three stylised elements that outline the profile of a director behind his camera, his chair and a megaphone give shape to a corner of a film set, of which Tuscia has been a world ambassador for several decades. All of this will be made from waste materials.
Inside the silhouettes, a simulated strip of film will be painted on glazed peperino using only black and white tones, exactly as happens in filmmaking – so it will be a sequence of moving images, symbolic of some historic films made in this area.
The corner is meant as a tribute to the world of craftsmanship, not only to the artistic one, because it is only through the union of the work of many hands, each specialised in different fields, that ideas can take shape which would otherwise remain confined to an unrealisable idea.
The solitary corner where artisans usually carry out their work becomes a wide-angle view, and the work of so many anonymous hands – just like that of extras in films – becomes a human screenplay, where the finished object will tell only its own story, and yet manage to captivate everyone.
Just as happens in the magic of a “screen”, when images and shapes come to life in the darkness of a cinema hall, today even in colour, artisans make “visible” even ideas that do not belong to them, becoming “directors” of a story that knows no ending.
